When the 20-year-old made her league tag debut for North Tamworth this season, she realised that sport was the missing element.

Endemi had been a member of the Emerging Jets, but the striker stopped playing soccer in order to focus on her senior years at McCarthy Catholic College.
She also played for Northern NSW at the soccer nationals, and represented the state in touch football.
Her focus on her studies also resulted in her ending her initial one-year flirtation with league tag at Kooty, although her dedication paid off: she works as a court officer at the Tamworth Court House.
"I'm loving it. It's a great job," she said. "I'm even thinking about going down a path somewhere in the justice system."
However, even though Endemi was moving ahead professionally and "was really happy", she said "something still felt like it was missing".
When I had that break, I definitely missed it [sport].

"And it definitely was sport. Because as soon as I got back on that field, it just felt really right. Because sport is definitely a massive aspect in my life."
Endemi said accepting Bears player Millie Blanch's offer to play for the side this year was "definitely the best decision I've made".
"When I had that break, I definitely missed it [sport]," she said.
"And soon as I got back out on the field and started playing, it all came back."
Endemi "regrets" her separation from sport. "Because I obviously really missed playing sport and [being in] that team environment."
She is grateful for the opportunity afforded her with the Emerging Jets.
"They allowed me to still live in the country and let me play in the team ... But when I hit senior years [at school], it got quite a lot [to handle]."
In 2013 at the Tamworth Regional Sports Awards, Endemi was named junior sports star of the year after playing for both the NSW PSSA touch and basketball sides at the nationals.
