Like many 19-year-olds, Bolte didn't know what she wanted to do after finishing school.
When the Calrossy graduate had just finished swimming competitively with Tamworth City Swimming Club, an opportunity to assist City coach Nicolas Monet presented itself.
And Bolte didn't look back from there.
"At that age I had no idea what I wanted to do at all. I just stuck with it [swim coaching] and started loving it more and more each day," Bolte said.

Some four years after diving into the world of swim coaching, Bolte has found herself as the head coach at 360 Scully Park Swimming Club.
The 23-year-old has been head coach for two months now, after taking over from Simon Andren, and she's loved working with the group.
"When they [swimmers] achieve their goals, or when they've completed a really good set and you see that look on their face that says 'I've done something good' - it's great to see," Bolte said.
Bolte has also coached at Manilla Swimming Club and has worked at 360 Gym - where she taught learn to swim - for about three years before stepping up to the head coaching role.
She has done plenty of swimming herself as well.
First in Coonabarabran - at the town's 33-metre pool - where she grew up before Bolte started boarding at Calrossy.
That was when she linked up with Tamworth City.
Bolte plans to use all the different skills she's learnt along the way in her role at 360 Scully Park Swimming Club.
"Nic [Nicolas Monet] is my mentor, he taught me most of swimming skills and I branched off and learnt other stuff from other coaches and have made it on my own in a way," she said.
Going forward, the coach is keen to work with the kids to help them achieve their goals - whatever they may be.
"I want to build a positive atmosphere and have fun with the kids," Bolte said.
"I want to understand their goals and I want them to compete at a higher level but only if they want to."
