Tamworth stabbing: evidence served in Dylan Fisher's Goonoo Goonoo Road stabbing case, Tamworth court told

Dylan Fisher is being held in Goulburn Correctional Centre on a charge that he knifed a 41-year-old man in the torso in the early hours of February 20.

He appeared via video link in Tamworth Local Court on Wednesday morning, along with new solicitor Rasha Shammas.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Rebecca Skivington said a "compliant" brief had been served, and six weeks was needed for the defence and Crown to examine the items.

Ms Shammas did not oppose the adjournment, and said there was no application for bail.

"His matter is progressing in the usual way," magistrate Julie Soars told the court.

"All good, thank you," Fisher replied, when told he we would return to court in late-June.

Fisher is charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm - a charge that carries a maximum penalty of 25 years' imprisonment, if found guilty. He has not been required to enter a plea.

Last month, the court heard police were still gathering the transcript of the body warn footage from a police camera, and photos.

Fisher has been in custody since his arrest, shortly after the confrontation off Goonoo Goonoo Road in the on February 20.

The 26-year-old is accused of stabbing a 41-year-old man in the torso. The injured man was found with stab wounds at the Coles service station about 3.45am.

Police allege the pair are known to one another, and the incident was not random.

The 41-year-old injured man was rushed to Tamworth hospital with serious injuries, but has since been released.

The stabbing saw Goonoo Goonoo Road shut down for several hours on February 20 as police and detectives examined blood-stained crime scenes.

Officers combed the service station, footpaths and the house across the road from the service station as part of their investigation.
