RAINY weather didn't stop local families from enjoying a delicious Sunday breakfast in Tamworth for Mother's Day.

The dreary day did nothing to dampen the love given to Tamworth mums, nanas, grandmas, aunties and sisters.
The Leader snapped numerous groups tucking into a coffee and belly-warming dish. Next on the menu was hugs and kisses from family members.

It was a far cry from the Mother's Day of 2020 - when COVID-19 restrictions were in full-swing and state borders were shut.
Unfortunately, the wet weather meant only those who wanted to brave the rain were able to enjoy some time in the park and on the playground afterwards.
Over in Gunnedah, there was reports of almost 15mm of rain within 10 minutes on Sunday morning.
Numerous people said Boggabri was hit with a "downpour" in the early hours of the day.
