Dunedoo Golf Club damage: Jack Michael Ewin charged with allegedly destroying Dunedoo course with tractor | video

Police allege about 8pm on Tuesday, Jack Michael Ewin drove a tractor towing a disc plough to a golf course at Dunedoo, about 90km north-east of Dubbo.

It's alleged the 34-year-old used the machinery to plough most of the course's fairways and greens, causing extensive damage.

According to police it's alleged Ewin then drove the tractor from the scene, but left the hydraulic disc plough behind on one of the greens.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were notified and launched an investigation.

Ewin was arrested by police on a property on Ballina Road about 9am on Wednesday.

While at the property, police also seized two unregistered firearms.

The man was arrested and taken to Dunedoo Police Station, where he was charged with several offences.

He's accused of destroying or damaging property; using an offensive weapon with the intention to commit an indictable offence; entering enclosed lands to interfere with a business; using an unregistered registrable motor vehicle on the road; and possessing an unauthorised firearm.

Ewin appeared before Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday where he was granted conditional bail to be of good behaviour and not enter the Dunedoo Sports Club or Dunedoo Golf Club.

The case has been adjourned to May 5 in the same court.

Dunedoo Golf has established a GoFundMe page to assist with the club's rebuilding effort, which is understood to be out of action for at least four months.
