The 14-year-old's relentless pursuit of swimming excellence is now powered by even more self-belief after her breakout performance at the recent Australian Age Swimming Championships in Sydney.

Competing at her first nationals, she recorded a series of personal-best times to make the finals of all four events she contested: the 100m and 200m breaststroke as well as the 200m and 400m individual medley.
The year 9 Calrossy student's best result was fifth place in the 100m breaststroke.

"I didn't really have a worst result," she said.
"But I came seventh in the 200m IM.
"I was still really happy with it."
She also said: "I was really happy with the way I went [overall], considering my goal was to make at least one final because it was my first nationals."
