The call for teams for the NAIDOC Touch Footy KO Gala Day went out less than two weeks ago and all 10 slots have already been filled.
Teams can be put on a waiting list in case sides pull out or if the gala day is expanded but Tamworth Naidoc committee member Krystle Lamb said it was likely the cap would remain at 10 teams with the team uniforms already sorted.
"I think we're going to leave it at 10 this year and then next year we'd love to see community businesses get involved to sponsor teams," she said.

The gala day will be held on July 9 with each team made up of a mixture of children and adults.
Lamb, who has joined forces with Tamworth Touch Association committee member Jermain Walford to organise the day, said they wanted the event to be enjoyed by everyone.
"I think it's about bringing people together - bringing indigenous and non-indigenous people together," Lamb said.
"There's a few people interested that aren't in a team so we've just put them in a team together. It's about mixing in and having fun."
Walford was keen to be involved as soon as he was approached by Lamb to help organise the day.
He said the tournament would be beneficial for both Tamworth Naidoc and Tamworth Touch.
"It's the first year of it happening and our goal is to increase participation in Tamworth Touch and to spread awareness of NAIDOC and the significance of Aboriginal people," he said.
He added: "It can become an annual thing and it's a great thing for kids and the community to get involved in and it's going to be done properly."
Walford said there would be plenty happening at the gala day with a canteen, a jumping castle, prizes, a dash for cash as well as skills and drills activities.
