THE much-loved two-up game has returned in 2021 after falling victim to the COVID-19 restrictions that curtailed much of last year's Anzac Day activities.

Locals at pubs all around Tamworth were playing the game, which was popular with Australian soldiers during the war.
The game is banned for most of the year due to it being classed as unregulated gambling, but it is usually allowed to occur on Anzac Day as a nod to the diggers that used to enjoy it.
Residents of all ages and backgrounds came together to play and have some drinks, while also taking time to remember the sacrifices made by fallen Anzacs that allow them to have those freedoms.

There was plenty of support for the game, and even more laughter followed as the afternoon wore on.
It will now be another year before people get the chance to play it again, but there is little doubt they will welcome it with open arms when April 25, 2022 comes around.
