While a march and large outdoor daytime ceremony were not planned due to concerns over COVID-19 restrictions, plenty of people still found a way to get involved and show their appreciation.
As usual, proceedings kicked off with a dawn service at Anzac Park, which was well attended.
No march occurred, but a veterans walk did take place much to the delight of local residents, who lined Peel Street to give a thank you to returned servicemen and women.
A march did occur in Gunnedah though, which attracted a lot of attention from those around the region.
Back in Tamworth, the main service was held at the Memorial Town Hall at 10:45, and featured an emotional speech from guest speaker Hunter River Lancers' Major Wayne Clarke.

The game is usually outlawed but is allowed on Anzac Day.
