AN Appleby man has had ammunition and three weapons seized from his property after an incident took place on Saturday afternoon.

The 41-year-old allegedly pointed a rifle at volunteer fire service crews that were conducting nearby hazard reduction burn-offs, and was later arrested on firearms charges.
Officers from Oxley Police District attended the scene and spoke to the man before placing him in custody.
He was then taken to Tamworth Police Station where he was charged with 13 offences.

They include using an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, carrying a firearm in a manner likely to injure people or property and eight counts of common assault.
He was refused bail on Saturday and ordered to face Tamworth Local Court on Sunday, where he was formally refused bail and ordered to appear in the same court on Monday.
