The play-offs for Grades 3, 4, 6 and 7 were held across the region with Tamworth City hosting the Grade 3 matches, Armidale City Grade 4, South Tamworth Grade 6 and North Tamworth Grade 7.
There were some tight tussles, with Gunnedah prevailing over South Tamworth by one shot 54-53 to advance to the Grade 3 finals, while in Grade 6 Uralla, Gunnedah and Quirindi all finished level on 10 points after the three rounds.

It came down to margins to decide who would progress, Quirindi going through with a for and against of +9.
Inverell were dominant in Grade 4 winning their first two games to have the section sewn up before the third game.
Walcha were declared the Grade 7 winners after winning all three of their games to finish 7.5 points clear of Murrurundi.
The weekend victors will be joined by Armidale City (Grade 2) and Barraba (Grade 5) at the state finals, which will be played from July 16 to 18 at Parkes (Grade 2), NBC Sports Club & Toongabbie Bowling Club (Grade 3), Yamba Bowling Club & Maclean Bowling Club (Grade 4), St Georges Basin Country Club & Nowra Bowling Club (Grade 5), Club Maitland City & Lorn Park Bowling Club (Grade 6) and Warilla Bowling & Recreation Club & TBC (Grade 7).
In the more immediate, the focus will turn to the sectional play for the state triples, senior triples and presidents reserve triples. It commences across the zone on April 10-11 ahead of the Zone finals at Lightning Ridge on April 17 and 18.
