NSW government coffers have been boosted by a dramatic spike in revenue from speeding motorists as signs alerting drivers to the speed cameras have been removed.

Labor says NSW drivers forked out more in fines last month than they did in the entire last financial year.
The government collected more than $6 million in revenue in February - compared to $5,743,994 last financial year.
The record number of fines has been driven by the removal of mobile speed camera warning signs.
The number of mobile speed camera fines issued in February is fifteen times higher than the comparable month last year - from 1859 fines a year ago to 27,985 this year.
Labor's roads spokesman John Graham said fines are expected to continue to increase as the NSW government rolls out an increase in the hours that mobile speed cameras are operating.
That will leap from 7000 hours to 21,000 hours each month from July.
"This is a revenue record," Mr Graham said on Monday.
"We support these cameras, but we would like to see warning signs in place and some of this money should immediately flow back in to driver education," he said.
