Kerrie Fearby is friends with residents of the units, and she said it was good "something's happening".
"They were down there [on Thursday] putting up some scaffolding and taking the tarp off the roof, supposedly to let it dry out so they can fix the broken tiles, the cracks, and re-seal it," she said.

She's "sceptical" of whether the work will be done within four weeks, but will know if it's not.
"When [my friend] goes back to the unit, if her breathing deteriorates again we'll know what the problem is," Ms Fearby told the Leader.
She's now "hoping for the best" for the "physical and mental health" of the elderly residents.
"It's had a toll on both, I think," she said.
