The meeting will explain the findings of a report into the road's condition and outline a way forward, after its indefinite closure in January.
Upper Hunter Shire Council has invited those affected by the closure of MR358, also known as Coulson's Creek Road, to come along.
Representatives from Upper Hunter Shire Council, Douglas Partners and the Project Control Group including Transport for NSW, Public Works Advisory and Infrastructure NSW will be at the meeting.
The road was closed due to numerous safety concerns, such as the risk of landslip and cracking across both lanes.
The affected section is entirely within the Upper Hunter council area, closed from the top of the range at Merriwa, but open on the Liverpool Plains Shire side from Willow Tree.
Motorists have had to allow at least an additional 30 minutes travel time, or 44 kilometres, to travel via the New England Highway and Scone/Bunnan Road.

The closure is another in a long history of issues associated with the road, which was reconstructed in 2019 but failed to meet specifications.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday 16 February at 5.30pm at Merriwa School of Arts Hall in Bow Street.
