Tamworth trainer Cody Morgan notched another win when three-year-old gelding Casino Lord comfortably won a maiden over 1000m on his home track on Friday.

It was Tradies Day at the venue, but Casino Lord was anything but tradesman-like in beating the Kris Lees-trained Duchess Nicci (Dylan Gibbons) by almost a length. The Stephen Jones-trained Kiwi Discompose (Grant Buckley) was third.

He was coming off a second at Tamworth over 1000m on January 31, which followed a 21-week spell.
"He went really well," Morgan said off the horse's run on Friday. "He's come back in a lot better."
Morgan will likely give Casino Lord another run at Tamworth soon. "And then, naturally, you work out whether they're gonna be of a highway level or just below that," he said. "But he's done nothing wrong this time in."
Casino Lord paid $3.30 for the win (NSW TAB fixed odds).
