Now, the hope is for government stimulus for the entertainment industry to continue beyond JobKeeper's end in March.
The cinema's manager Grant Lee said the easing of restrictions was "awesome". The premier said the state will revert to the two-square-metre rule for indoor and outdoor events from midnight tonight.
"We've been at 75 per cent capacity, so being able to have more people in the cinema, but also in the foyer - which was our biggest problem - will make our lives so much easier," he said.
They are also all ready to roll for the Dine and Discover scheme beginning in March, not just registering but already nutting out some combo deals people can get for $25.
The scheme provides adults with four $25 vouchers to be redeemed at local businesses on tourism, arts and dining experiences.
"It's such a great incentive by the NSW government to do this, I can't wait for it to begin".
There is one final element in the trifecta needed, however. He said his group, ICAA cinemas, is rallying the government trying to get special consideration to continue to receive JobKeeper, which they are still receiving, after it ends in March.

"We are governed by the world, and no major movies are being released in the US and Europe, which is what really brings people in," he explained.
"It's good they are doing other movies, like Godzilla, King Kong ... and people are getting around coming in and watching classics on the big screen for the experience too. But other things like the Bond movie has moved to October, it's like the fourth push back."
Cafes, restaurants, cinemas and recreation venues can register for Dine and Discover program via the NSW Government Website.
