At about 10am on Sunday morning, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was called to a property at Kenebri, north of Baradine.
The man was rammed by a sheep in a yard on Sunday morning.
The 47-year-old's back and neck were injured as a result of the charge.
The man was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team.
He was then flown to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital for further treatment.
WRHS confirm the man was in a stable condition.
