A man has had to be rescued after he was injured in a paragliding accident at Mount Borah.

At about 2.40pm on Sunday, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to the mountain just north west of Tamworth.
They report the 58-year-old man received injuries to the lower half of his body after a heavy landing, close to the top of the mountain.
He was treated by ambulance paramedics and the helicopter's medical team before he was flown to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
He is in a stable condition.
Mount Borah is no stranger to paragliding accidents.

In January last year, a man lost his life paragliding around Mount Borah.
The 59-year-old was one of two men who lost control over their paragliders during the XC Camp held in Manilla.
Later in October, a paraglider pilot was airlifted by helicopter to Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital after suffering injuries in a serious crash, which happened soon after takeoff at Mount Borah.
