Sironen signed a three-year deal with the Warriors after making 19 appearances for Souths last season, including the preliminary final loss to Penrith - lifting his total NRL tally to 24 games.

The 186cm, 95kg forward, who made his NRL debut at Wests Tigers in 2017, said linking with the Warriors was an "awesome opportunity" as he "tried to make something" of himself in a new environment.

The Warriors' stirring revival last season was a factor in his decision to swap clubs, said the son of league legend Paul Sironen and the younger brother of Sea Eagles second-rower Curtis Sironen.

He is also excited by the club's off-season recruitment drive.

Last month NRL.com said the Warriors had become "the club of choice for off-contract stars from rival teams", following their unlikely form surge last season while long separate from loved ones due to COVID.

The side's unlikely rally and their new signings left Sironen feeling "so excited" to become a Warrior.

"We've started really well, this training camp, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what we can do," he said.

The Warriors arrived in Tamworth on Sunday for a month-long training camp, after quarantining in the city in May last year and forming a strong bond with the Country Music Capital.

In Sironen, New Zealand have a player entering his prime. He said last season gave him a "confidence boost".

"It's something that I've tried to bring here [to the Warriors]," he continued, adding that he was "really enjoying coming here and learning off the older blokes".

The club's new signings include Addin Fonua-Blake, Marcelo Montoya, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Euan Aitken, Kane Evans and Sean O'Sullivan.
