A Quirindi man remains behind bars after being captured by the Tamworth Dog Unit earlier in the week.

Jerome Gordon Haines, 19, appeared before the registrar at Tamworth Local Court via video link on Wednesday, where he did not apply for bail.
According to court documents, Haines was already on parole or bail for other matters when he was arrested by police on Tuesday.
The fresh charges he faces include taking and driving a car without the consent of the owner; two counts of police pursuit by driving dangerously under Skye's Law; never licensed person drive a vehicle on the road; and custody of knife in a public place.

Haines is alleged to have stolen a vehicle and lead police on two pursuits in a short time frame on Tuesday.
Shortly after 5am, Oxley police were told that a red Holden Cruze had been reported stolen from a home on Lenord Street, Werris Creek.
About 6am, the Oxley Proactive Crime Team located the car in Poole Street during patrols of the area.
Officers signaled for the car to pull and initiated a chase when the car failed to stop. The pursuit was called off a short time later due to safety concerns.
The driver kept heading towards Tamworth, and a second pursuit started again at about 6.15am just outside of the city limits after he had allegedly failed to stop on Werris Creek Road.
During the chase, he hit a concrete median strip before coming to a stop at a roundabout on Duri Road.
The driver attempted to flee police on foot, but was captured a short time later by the Tamworth Dog Unit.
A 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station, where he was charged and later refused bail.
He faces unrelated charges which were relisted before the court during the out-of-sessions mention.
One for allegedly resisting an officer in the execution of their duty and possessing a knife in a public place on December 13.
The other charges related to an alleged incident on November 23, where he was charged with affray, and using an offensive weapon with intent to commit serious indictable offence.
Haines was refused bail and has been ordered to reappear in Tamworth Local Court again on January 4.
