The issue was highlighted even further after one man was caught, on Boxing Day, driving an unregistered quad bike down along Cole Road.
He had two passengers. There was not a helmet to be seen among the three.
When police stopped the driver at around 5.25pm, he was also found to be unlicensed.
He was slapped with infringement notices for driving while unlicensed, using an unregistered vehicle, riding without a helmet, and having passengers without helmets.
Those "hooning around" on motorbikes are now set firmly in the sights of police.
Oxley Police District Acting Inspector Gavin Smith said it was an "ongoing issue" and called upon the community to not only do the right thing, but to assist in investigations by reporting such behaviour.
