Screaming engines and red lights flashed down the street this morning as Fire and Rescue crews attended an emergency fire alarm alert.

Staff and shoppers were evacuated from the East Point Woolworth's store while the cause of the alarm was investigated.
Fire and Rescue crews attended just after 11am on Monday morning.
They then discovered the cause: a leaking sprinkler head.
Despite the interruption to their day, no-one was injured or at risk, and crews quickly fixed the offending sprinkler.
