The Gunnedah Jockey Club will host an eight-race meeting on Tuesday after it was transferred from Tamworth due to a lack of grass coverage on a section of the Tamworth track.
It comes after the Gunnedah's annual Christmas Hams meeting was run on Saturday, December 5.
"I was out there [Riverside Racecourse] the other day and it's looking pretty good - there's a lot of grass cover," Gunnedah Jockey Club president Kevin Edmonds said.

The meeting attracted 167 nominations while there has been 111 acceptors after weights were released.
"That's pretty good. We'll have pretty good fields on Tuesday," Edmonds said.
There will be eight races at Gunnedah on Tuesday with trainers coming from all over the region for the meeting.
The first race - the Mannion Drilling CG&E Maiden Handicap (1300m) - is set to kick off the day of racing at 1.20pm.
The day will close out with a capacity field in the Liverpool Plains F&M Class 1 Handicap (1000m).
The 1000-metre race will jump at 5.35pm.
