Signs, placards and posters outlined their stance at Bicentennial Park, and while they were buffeted by the wind it wasn't enough to blow down their resolve.
Organised by the Guru Nanak Mission Tamworth, they joined international calls for the Indian government to end the new agriculture laws which they say will cripple already meager profits for farmers in the country's Punjab region.

One organiser Prabhjot Singh, said simply: "being silent about injustice is injustice".
"Tamworth is a place with majority of farmers, so they should be aware about farmers' situations around the world," he said.
