The 21-year-old has gone through a metamorphosis since leaving his family's Loomberah farm to play with the Knight's under-20 Jersey Flegg side in 2018.

He said he had had the option to extend his three-year stay at the Knights but opted to sign with the Rabbitohs because the club was a better fit for him (he met with Souths officials in Sydney on Friday and signed the deal on Monday).
The 194cm and 105kg prop believes he has a better chance of playing first grade at the Rabbitohs than he would have had at the Knights.
He hopes to cement a spot in Souths' Canterbury Cup side next season and then secure a spot in Souths' 30-man NRL squad the following season.
"That's the end goal ... but there's a lot of little goals before that," he said.
He also said: "I'm stoked to get down there [Sydney]. And it's something different for me - a little bit of a change.

"They reckon a change is as good as a holiday.
"So get down there and hopefully it brings out the best in me."
In Sydney, Cameron will share a home with Georgia Atherton - a semi-professional dancer whose classical training includes ballet, jazz and contemporary.
They have been an item for about a year.
"It's been good," he said of the relationship.

Signed by the Knights after impressing for North Tamworth as a raw-boned prop in 2017, Cameron played a round one Canterbury Cup match for the Knights in 2020 before the competition was cancelled due to COVID-19.
He ended up playing for South Newcastle, losing the grand final to Cessnock.
His time at the Knights was "awesome", he said.
"I loved it; it was one of the most exciting times of my life.

"When I went down there I hardly knew anyone [and now] I've got a bunch of best mates down there."
Cameron said he "got on very well with the Knights".
"I still feel like I have a good relationship with the Knights."
