In the process he handed his jockey, Mikayla Weir, and trainer, Todd Howlett, a winning double.
Howlett and Weir had combined to win with Miss Konjiki earlier in the seven-race program when she had led most of the way to win the Harrington Cup 4/1@MVRC Maiden (1300m).

Siege Warfare's run to win the tab.com.au Benchmark 66 Handicap (1000m) was in direct contrast. While Weir did arrow Seige Warfare along the rail she came from last to overrun the opposition.
"He's a nice horse but been a little disappointing," Howlett said after the win.
Howlett believed Siege Warfare "wasn't "quite there yet" in condition and thought he needed today's run.
"I told the boys he's not quite there but he'll run well today," Howlett said.
That he and Mikayla Weir had combined to win at Rosehill on Saturday with Two Big Fari has made it a good few days for them.
"Mikayla is riding with confidence," he added.
That was evident by her winning ride on Two Big Fari at Rosehill and her contrasting rides at Taree today.
Siege Warfare, Howlett said, might be headed to Sydney now too.
"There's a Class 3 Highway in Sydney in a fortnight," he said.
