Tamworth had just beaten Narrabri Blue by 73 runs at No.1 Oval with Henry, elevated to vice-captain by Ling, top-scoring with 70.
On a day when just two Tamworth batsmen scored double figures, Henry's knock - which included a 86-run partnership alongside Ling (28) - saw Tamworth post a total of 146.
"He stepped up. For me, the way he played won us the game," Ling said.
The bowling efforts then backed up Henry's half century.
Brad Redshaw bowled 10 overs straight on his way to 5-24 while Sam Murphy (3-26) and Zac Craig (2-21) were the other wicket-takers.
"In my opinion, we have one of the best bowling sides in the Connolly Cup," Ling said.

Ling said winning the toss and batting first proved to be a key factor to victory.
"Had they batted first, it may have been a different story," he said.
Ling added: "I think the heat had an impact. Narrabri are a better side than that."
Captain Luke Meppem (4-37) led the way with the ball for Narrabri Blue.
He broke the partnership of Henry and Ling on his way to 4-37 from 10 overs.
Opening bowler Nathan Trindall (3-18) and Kaleb Mowle (3-36) both claimed three wickets in the loss.
