Located on Bridge Street, it would be the thoroughfare's fourth fill up point.
If approved, work on the 24 hour Mobil outlet would commence next year, just after the Christmas rush eases.
The build is slotted for 248-250 Bridge Street in West Tamworth, and will be carried out in two stages.
The first will be the construction of the service station itself.
This will involve the construction of a single storey convenience store, store room, cool room, office, and amenities.
There will be a canopy erected over four bowsers, linking the car refueling area and the store.
Five underground fuel tanks will be installed for diesel, Ethanol, Premium Unleaded, Unleaded and Premium 95.
Signage will be erected, which includes one free-standing, six metre 'Mobil' pylon sign and two illuminated 'Mobil' signs on the northeast and northwest facing boundaries.
Small pockets of landscaping will also be developed, along with loading zones, car park spaces for 12 vehicles, including a disabled spot, and a screened waste storage area.

Stage two of the project would build a warehouse, being a single storey building and a Bulky Goods Retail space, office, lunchroom, lock up, goods receivables area, loading zone, and two 'fitting' bays.
The full proposal is shown on the set of architectural plans prepared by Brown Commercial Building, available on Tamworth Regional Council's website.
Public submissions close December 22.
