After the rain spoiled the party two weeks running the blue skies for round four of the Tamworth Mountain Bikers' twilight series were a welcome sight.

The race loops were mixed up with the Dirtmasters heading up to Secret Valley plateau for a new loop which catered for both the Dirty A and Dirty B riders with the option of an approximately one-two or four-five minute a lap trail.
Taking on the longer course Harry Arndell was first from Henry Crittle and Dane Cuddihy.

The junior elite riders also got to spin a few different trails venturing over onto lower North Hill and North Hill Extension. They also had a bunch of C graders to chase down, an opportunity Ben Shaw wasn't going to back down from as he pulled a 40:23 minute race to come third overall on the loop.
Jock Barwick was second behind Shaw in the junior elite and Liam Marsh third, while Rob Wright won the C grade men and Renae Sharples the women.
The second race loop added on the hills and some technical features for the B, A and elite riders as they headed up Central Mountain for the first time this series. Most riders got up to an hour of race times.
Steve Roberts continued his winning ways in the elite division after fighting off a good challenge from younger brother Justin.
A grade saw a big field of 13 and the top three podium riders squeezed in another lap to equal the elite riders in kilometres and very closely in times.
In what was a very competitive field the fourth, fifth and sixth-placed riders were only 32 seconds apart. Ross Aylwin took the A grade honours in the men's race and Alyssa Rogan the women's while Ben Marsh was first in the men's B grade and Laurie Willis the women's.
