THE DRIVER of a van which flipped onto its roof in a crash on Friday afternoon has escaped the wreck with no serious injuries.

It is understood the van rolled upside-down after clipping the median strip on the Gunnedah Road, near the roundabout at Mahony Street in West Tamworth.

Ambulance paramedics rushed to the scene at about 12:30pm and assessed two patients involved in the crash.
It is understood no one was hurt in the incident and no one was taken to hospital.
The flipped van affected traffic driving in both directions on the highway, but the crash site was quickly cleared.
Live Traffic NSW updates indicate conditions are back to normal on the affected stretch of road.

EMERGENCY services have rushed to a car crash in Tamworth on Friday afternoon, after a van jumped the median strip and flipped onto its roof.
It is unknown at this stage how the accident occurred, and how many people are being treated by ambulance paramedics.
Traffic is affected in both directions, and motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
