One of the main events is an exciting large scale art project, which will see Fitzroy Street near the plaza turned into a rainbow serpent, chalked in multicolour segments.
Different groups in the community will take turns in colouring in the lines starting on November 8, making sure everything remains COVID safe.
Kaliela Thornton, a Tamworth Naidoc committee member, was thrilled they were able to mark the week.
I guess the best thing is being able to continue the celebrations in the face of adversity, so the fact it's going ahead is fantastic.

"I guess the best thing is being able to continue the celebrations in the face of adversity, so the fact it's going ahead is fantastic," she explained.
"The challenge is working around the ever-changing COVID conditions, and to create that significance for people and that connection to community."
But it's not just the serpent slithering to life. Today marks the start of the Dhuurranmay-gal Dhirrabuu Photo Exhibition at Tamworth Regional Library.
Virtual events will see many residents videoing the raising of the flags and putting them on Facebook on November 9.
"With the virtual flag raise ... everyone will be in unity," Ms Thornton said.
An Elder Lingo Bingo competition will be held at the Werris Creek Bowling and Tennis Club at 9.30am on November 11.
