The new wing, which includes state-of-the-art learning facilities, is all but finished despite experiencing delays earlier in the year.
NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell said her next visit to Tamworth would be for the facility's grand opening.

"It's going very well and we are hoping to do a grand opening very soon," Ms Mitchell told the Leader.
"I understand some of the facilities have been handed over to the school and we are on track for the rest of it to come through very soon.
"I'll be back here when it is ready to open and I am really looking forward to it."
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said he was looking forward to seeing the new multi-million dollar facilities.
"Tamworth Public School has a very proud history and a strong tradition in this city," Mr Anderson said.
"To see the upgrades be implemented, but also the heritage of the school honoured, is very exciting.
"It's new technology and embracing new things while making sure we don't lose the past."
The $8.2 million redevelopment was given the green light by the state government in March last year and once completed, will boast amenities such as a new hall and seven new classrooms.
However, only part of the revamped section was ready for use, while the remaining construction is ongoing.
