A BIKE rider has been flown to hospital and a child is fighting for life after separate crashes.

The 23-year-old man was riding his motorbike at Yarrowitch near Walcha when he lost control and crashed, about 5pm on Thursday.
Ambulance paramedics were deployed to the crash scene along with the region's Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The helicopter's critical care team treated the injured rider at the scene for serious lower limb fractures, a spokesperson said.

He was then flown to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition.
It was one of two missions for the chopper service on Thursday afternoon after a young child was critically injured on Armidale Road, near Dorrigo.
The crash occurred about 3.45pm at Dundurrabin when the black Holden Commodore left the road and crashed down an embankment, rolling onto its side and slamming into a tree.
The seven-year-old girl, who was trapped in the wreckage, suffered multiple injuries in the crash. She had to be freed from the wreckage by emergency services.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before she was airlifted to Brisbane Children's Hospital.
On Friday, police confirmed the girl was listed in a critical condition in hospital.
The 28-year-old woman behind the wheel managed to free herself from the vehicle.
Police claim she returned a positive breath test at the scene and later allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.067.
She was taken to Dorrigo hospital for mandatory testing and later taken under police guard to Coffs Harbour hospital for observation. No charges have been laid.
The Crash Investigation Unit is examining the cause of the crash and said investigations are continuing.
