A bumper crowd attended last year's Melbourne Cup meeting, when the trackside marquee and members luncheon were both sold out and there was a big Fashions in the Field.
At this year's meeting there will be a sit-down lunch in the John Clift Stand, with reserved seating in front of the stand and in the general admissions area.
Three bars will operate.
With work on TJC's drainage upgrade ongoing on November 3, the "B" surface will be used for the meeting.

"He's very happy with the condition.
"He's extremely happy with the progress that's being made on the drainage.

Wood said workers were "very aware" of the possibility of heavy rain on the weekend and were "pushing hard to get the drains that go across the track completed this week".
