The stretch of highway between Armidale and Guyra was shut just after 2am, after a large truck rolled and spilled its contents.

Transport for NSW confirmed the highway had been reopened to traffic at about 2pm on Wednesday.
The site, near Tilbuster, took some time to clear due to heavy vehicle recovery and cleaning up the spilled load.
The driver of the truck was not badly hurt in the crash, and was not taken to hospital.
Live Traffic NSW updates indicate motorists should still drive with caution in the area.

A TRUCK rollover between Armidale and Guyra has closed the New England Highway, and there is no estimated time for when it will reopen.
One ambulance crew was tasked to the crash, but it is understood no one was injured in the incident, and no one was taken to hospital.
The truck is blocking the road and has spilled its contents.
The New England Highway remains closed to traffic between Armidale and Guyra, and diversions are in place.
Live Traffic NSW updates indicate there is no forecast for when the road might open, because the heavy vehicle wreck will need to be recovered and the site cleaned up.
A tow truck, emergency services and Transport for NSW remain on the scene.
Northbound traffic from Armidale should follow Waterfall Way to Ebor, then Guyra Road to Guyra.
Southbound traffic from Guyra should do the same, but in reverse.
The detour adds about 80 minutes of travel time.
