A replica win by the Danny Mackney-trained Who Killed Kenny is what young reinsman Scotty-Jon Welsh is looking for at Thursday's afternoon meeting at the Paceway.

Welsh guided Who Killed Kenny to a neck win last start at Tamworth and is eager for a repeat performance, with the gelding about to have race start 127 (he has 10 career wins).

"It is a tougher race this week [than last week's race], with some last-start winners in the field, but I think he will go back-to-back," said Welsh.
Mackney is looking for Who killed Kenny to have "luck".
"Last week was a super win and Scotty-Jon put the horse into the perfect racing spot and luck went our way," he said.
"We never send him around with any high expectations, but I was pleased for Scotty to drive him to a win as he has a soft spot for the horse."
The 1609m race will boast three other last-start winners: Alliyah's Choice from the Greg Coney stables, Scotlynn Jiggs (the Stacie Elliott stables) and Paradigm Shift (the Kevin Warby stables).
Who Killed Kenny's stablemate, Crystal Tiara, to fill the four barrier in the Kevin & Kay Seymour Ladyship Pace on Thursday - with Mackney taking the reins.
"She is up in grade a bit but we will see how we go," said Mackney. "I was happy with her run last week. It was her first start for us and we didn't know what to expect."
Mackney will also take the reins behind Pure Laughter in the Hygain Tracktorque Pace.
"She is back in her right grade this week," he said after the horse finished fifth at the Paceway last week.
Paceway patrons must follow COVID-19 guidelines.
