All NSW gyms and fitness centres have been required to have a dedicated 'COVID-19 Safe Hygiene Marshal' on duty at all times.
Shadow Minister for Health Ryan Park said it's time to look at the strain this is causing local businesses.
"Many 24 hour gyms are being forced to scale back their hours to limit costs at a time when they're desperate to recover from closures earlier in the year," Mr Park said.
Mr Park encouraged the NSW Government to adopt South Australia's COVID gym model, but Ms Barber doesn't agree.
"No I don't think I'd want to scale back," Ms Barber said.
"It's been beneficial for us, to be one of the only gyms offering modified 24/7 access, we've had a very good response and it's been a positive experience."
She said they have a lot of staff on throughout the day, so their marshal is one of their rostered workers.

But she has seen people become more aware of cleanliness and hygiene within the gym setting, which is setting everyone up for the future, yet she is still happy to have someone supervise.
"It has been and additional cost in staffing the gym for those overnight periods, but our members have been thankful and appreciative of it, and been utilising it."
