The biggest moment of Brayden Reid's promising rugby league career will occur in Sydney next Sunday when he trials for a spot in the Bulldogs' SG Ball Cup squad in 2021.

With school now in his rear-view mirror and his NRL dream more obtainable than ever, the softly spoken 18-year-old has admitted to feeling "anxious" over what awaits him in Sydney.

Reid, who graduated from Oxley High on Friday, crossed twice in Carey's Freight Lines' 21-11 defeat of JT Fossey in the opening clash of the inaugural Wests Entertainment Group 9s at Scully Park on Saturday night.
Post-match, he said: "I've always had the dream of playing in the big leagues, since I started playing football, really.
"This is probably my best opportunity [to achieve that] - going down to Bankstown this Sunday."
The trial is the result of the Bulldogs' player-pathway arrangement with the Greater Northern Region of NSWRL.
Reid aims to put his "name out there" in Sydney by getting involved in the action as much as possible.
"Try and do my best, really - put my best foot forward."
Reid crossed again, and was named man of the match, in Carey's Freight Lines' second match on Saturday night - a 17-10 defeat of Marius Street Family Dental 17-10.
Reid looked sharp at fullback for the Greater Northern Tigers under-18 side this year.
He left North Tamworth last year and joined the Roosters after playing No 1 in the Bears' under-18 premiership-winning side in 2019.
"I'm very happy about where I've got to now," he said of his development as a player.
