A TAMWORTH man has been arrested in the early hours of the morning, accused of break-ins and stealing and torching a car.

Police homed in on the 22-year-old man in Bilkurra Street on Tuesday, just hours after his alleged crimes.
Police claim the 22-year-old attempted to break into a Carramar Close home in Hillvue early on Tuesday morning.
He's also alleged to have targeted properties in Allawah and Edward Streets, and is accused of stealing a silver Holden Trax from the Edward Street before torching it.

Police were alerted, and thanks to witness reports, tracked the man to Bilkurra Street where he was arrested.
He's facing six charges including aggravated break-and-enter and commit serious indictable offence; break, enter and steal; damaging property by fire; and stealing a car.
"This is the second significant arrest by Oxley police in as many days, and we won't be stopping now," Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy told the Leader.
"Operation Southbreak has seen extra patrols launched and that includes police on foot, on bikes, as well as in cars and covert operations.
"There are patrols at all hours of the night across the city."
He was granted strict bail and has been ordered to front Tamworth Local Court in mid-October.
As part of his bail conditions, the 22-year-old has been ordered to remain at a Tamworth address under a curfew and he has to report to police regularly.
