The development is "very, very disappointing", said Lyn Tongue, Gunnedah Jockey Club general manager.

Prior to Tuesday's TAB meeting being moved, the GJC had had three meetings transferred because its jockey room was not COVID-compliant.
GJC received a $5000 Gunnedah Shire Council grant to renovate the room so jockeys could abide by social distancing requirements.
Tongue said: "The stewards gave us the OK ... So it [Tuesday's transferred meeting] is a big blow. We haven't raced and we've done renos and things - and it's very, very disappointing."
Racing NSW stewards inspected Riverside Racecourse early Monday morning and deemed the straight unsafe for racing.
Tongue said: "We had overnight rain, there were storms yesterday [Sunday] afternoon ... We haven't had any drying weather, really."
