ROADWORKS will take place at a number of busy streets around Tamworth this week, and traffic is being urged to drive with caution.

The night works will launch at 9pm on Thursday, July 23, and continue through to 6am the next morning.
Tamworth Regional Council noted five locations on key Tamworth roads and in the CBD where line marking will be done during those overnight hours.

The sections of road affected include the strip on Peel Street between Tribe Street and Johnston Street; Darling Street between Peel Street and Marius Street; Brisbane Street between Peel Street and Kable Avenue; Marius Street between Darling Street and Brisbane Street; and Armidale Road in East Tamworth.
It is understood all those roads will still be open for traffic while works are taking place overnight, but will be under traffic control.
Tamworth Regional Council asked motorists in the areas on July 23-24 to drive with caution.
