One man has had a lucky escape after finding himself trapped in his car after an accident on Friday.

Around 3.30pm, emergency crews attended the scene north of town to find the man in his 40s unable to get himself out of the vehicle.
Fire and Rescue crews from Station 314 arrived first, and began the rescue operation.
Gunnedah SES and ambulance paramedics arrived shortly after, and were assisted by the Fire and Rescue crew to clear the scene.
The man received a minor injury to head, some cuts to his shoulder, but escaped serious injury.
He was treated at the scene by two ambulance crews and a specialist medical team via the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, before being taken to Tamworth Base Hospital for further treatment.

The collaborative approach for the rescue operation was lauded by the Fire and Rescue crews.
"This is another great example of Gunnedah's emergency services working together like clockwork for our community," a Fire and Rescue statement said.
