With the Central North Junior Rugby Union preparing to kick-off their gala days (for players under-12) on July 26, the Tri-Colours are ramping up their recruitment efforts.
As part of that the club are running a series of training days leading up to the school holidays. This Saturday's will be the first of three with further sessions scheduled for June 27 and July 4.

"This gives us as a committee a chance to be available, as many hands will be needed at training to cope with COVID restrictions but also a chance for parents and kids to attend on a weekend when kids sport is in a limited capacity," club president Aaron Turner said.
To be held at Tamworth Rugby Park, the sessions will run from 11am.
After the coronavirus pandemic put a halt on everything, Turner said the excitement is building as the players get ready to lace up the boots again. The CNJRU is proposing to run eight gala days with the last on September 27.
"Everyone seems very keen," he said.
That said, they are looking for more players to pull on the gold, black and white jersey in 2020.
In an effort to try and attract more players and alleviate some of the financial burden, earlier this year the club announced it would be waiving the registration fees for any kids who want to play junior rugby for the Tri-Colours this year. But they had only just really got the word out and COVID hit.
Turner said they are still honouring that, hoping that it will help boost their numbers but "more importantly assist the Tamworth community who are struggling emotionally and financially after drought, fires and more recently COVID".
He said one of the biggest concerns for parents with junior rugby as the travel involved. By paying the registration fees they hope it will assist families to make the short trips when needed.
He added that they are quite fortunate in Tamworth that they are quite central in the zone, with the majority of the gala days only about an hour away.
Players can register via the club's Facebook page or just attend one of the training sessions.
