The secret behind Josh McCulloch's ripped new body has been revealed, with the Tamworth Muay Thai champion announcing that he is working with the American trainer who helped turn Ronda Rousey into a UFC legend.

Mike Dolce - described by Sports Illustrated as the "patron saint of weight cutting" - managed the weight cuts of Rousey and other leading UFC fighters. He is a multiple winner of the World MMA Trainer of the Year.

McCulloch unveiled his new physique at his last fight, when he avenged a controversial draw to fellow New South Welshman Nathan Jones by beating him on points at Toukley in February.
The 19-year-old had been following Dolce on Instagram and Facebook when he did an online nutrition coaching course through the American's company.
"And then he spoke about doing a one-on-one consultation with me because I said I was a fighter," McCulloch said.
"He started talking to me about how to fuel my body properly for sessions, how to recover properly.
"And I said to him, 'Wow, you've inspired me. I want to start my own business' ... And pretty much he mentored me from there, gave my tips, pretty much guiding me.
"He's also got me into the stock market as well, which is pretty awesome."
McCulloch and Dolce now regularly exchange emails and chat on Zoom. They have become friends.
The American is also offering his services to McCulloch at a "greatly" discounted rate, the teen said.
But it is McCulloch who has benefited the most financially from the relationship.
"He said now is the best time [to invest in the stock market], and I definitely agree, because I've grown my portfolio massively, even just getting tips off him."
McCulloch plans to start a nutrition business. "I haven't started it yet, and I've had people at training saying, "Hey, can you do a meal plan for me?" ... I think they saw the difference in my last two fights."
A relaxing of COVID-19 restrictions will result in the teen resuming training on Monday, although he will be restricted to bag work.
