Come the end of the May 50K - where people are challenged to walk or run 50 kilometres throughout May - George is still astounded by the level of support from friends and family.
The former Tamworth Swan - who was first diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012 - and his team of 89 members racked up over 7200 kilometres throughout May.
George described the fundraiser as a humbling experience and thanked everyone who took part which included people from right across Australia and the world.

Along with the massive amount of kilometres ran or walked by the team, they raised over $12,000 for multiple sclerosis research.
In total, the May 50K raised over $6 million and was deemed an "enormous success" by MS Australia board president Des Graham.
"This event highlighted the power and reach of the Australian community with over 36,000 people, of all ages, gender, backgrounds, and abilities participating," associate professor Graham said.
"The financial reward was amazing, but the contributions to greater awareness within the broader community about MS and those who live with it every day is simply unquantifiable and something we should all feel unbelievably proud of."
