New Warriors signing Wayde Egan has said that in a "weird" way the side's self-isolation stint in Tamworth has produced the "blessing" of enhanced player bonding.

The No 9 - who joined the Warriors from Penrith for this season - described the team-camp atmosphere as a "positive".
He said: "We're always together ... In a weird way, it's probably even a blessing for us - to get tighter as a group and form those relationships."

Speaking via a conference call, the 23-year-old Lithgow-born rake said the Mercure Hotel, the outfit's base in Tamworth, had helped foster the team-bonding experience by facilitating a "homely" atmosphere for the players.
"No problems from my end," he said. "I'm not too down on being stuck here. It's a pretty good place to be stuck."
Egan played junior footy for the Lithgow Storm, before linking with Penrith for the 2016 season.
He make 29 NRL appearances for the Panthers, including 18 games last season, but the club opted not to renew his contract last year.
Warriors coach Stephen Kearney said the team "spirit" had been "wonderful" - and the environment provided for the organisation - including training at Scully Park - had been a "really big part" of that.
The side are in the second week of self-isolation in Tamworth, with next week their last in the city - ahead of the May 28 season restart.
