After their libraries launched a 'Click and Collect' service two weeks ago giving people access to reading material, residents from all over the area have snapped them up.
In the first two weeks alone, over 431 books and DVDs have been borrowed, a spokesperson said.
Click and Collect enables members of Werris Creek and Quirindi libraries to borrow books and DVDs, to refresh their requirements during the COVID19 shutdown.
Borrowers can choose their own material or library staff are happy to put some selections together.
The surprise books packs have also proved popular among those who find making a decision on a good read tiresome.
They are great options for those who don't have the time to choose.
When they call, in borrowers arrange a time so items can be left outside the libraries for collection.
Bearing in mind contamination risks, items cannot be returned until after COVID19 restrictions are lifted.

However all items borrowed will be automatically renewed, so no one has to worry about a massive over-due fee.
