Wests Entertainment Group CEO Rod Laing is waiting for confirmation on whether the New Zealand Warriors will be able to isolate in Tamworth for two weeks prior to the NRL restarting.

It was revealed yesterday that Tamworth was being bandied as a potential training base for the NRL team and Mr Laing confirmed Wests had been in talks with the Warriors.
"As we are talking right this second, because it's been developing here by the hour, we're waiting for the final tick of approval with the NRL, from the Minister of NSW Health, and with that will come a heap of bio-security rules to abide by," Mr Laing told the Leader.
"We've been in discussions with the Warriors for a little while now and they had identified us as having a very unique precinct with accommodation and the ground [Scully Park]."

Mr Laing expected to hear from the NRL and the government later today.
If the move was given the green light, Mr Laing said the Warriors would be confined to Wests precinct - which includes Scully Park and the Mercure Hotel - during their isolation in Tamworth.
"Their meals would be catered for, there's accommodation, I believe a makeshift gym will be set up so they'll have all their training facilities along with the ground," he said.
It would also allow some staff to return to work, with the sports club shut down in mid-March in the wake of the government's lockdown measures.
Mr Laing said every measure would taken to ensure the safety of his staff and also the Warriors.
"We enjoy working with the Kiwis at most times, other than Bledisloe Cup ... I think it's a great thing," he told AAP.
"Tamworth's a very sporting town and I think the average punter in the street will be hugely supportive of it."
