Earlier in the month Football Federation Australia (FFA) announced that all grassroots soccer activity would remain suspended until May 31.
Addressing the Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) community, NNSWF chairperson Helene O'Neill and CEO David Eland said the organisation and it's seven member zones, of which NIF is one, are continuing their scenario planning for the deferred season.
That planning accounts for the likely extension of the suspension until at least June 30 with the NSW Public Health Order in relation to social gatherings and movement not due to expire until midnight on June 29.
"In response, competition administrators are working towards getting on the pitch from early July," the update said.

In his latest update on Friday, FFA chairman James Johnson said they are working hard to get everyone back on the pitch as soon as possible.
"We know how eager you are to get back out there so we're talking to state and federal government and of course our member federations about where and when we can resume football at a grassroots level all across the country," he said.
"We remain very confident that grassroots football will resume, it's just a matter of time now and we're just trying to ensure we have the right protocols in place that are agree with government so that we can get you started but get you started in a safe environment."
