In the next wave of announcements tackling the Covid-19 pandemic, Woolworths have made their Tamworth store a new 'Priority Trading Hub'.

This means from today, the store's opening hours were cut to a 9am start with doors closing at 6pm.
It also removes the designated Community Hours for priority shoppers.
However, Woolworth's East Point store will retain their current trading hours, and will still have their Community Hours throughout the week.
While the store is only open to customers during this time, staff will be using the remaining time to pick online orders, with a focus on meeting the increased demand from 'Priority Assistance' customers.
This includes the elderly, people with disability, those with compromised immunity and people in mandatory isolation.
Woolworth's Tamworth is one of 100 supermarkets turned into hubs like this, set to ensure more home delivers get to priority assistance customers.

Woolworth's Supermarkets Managing Director Claire Peters said they are focused on supporting the most vulnerable in the community during these challenging times.
"To help support getting basic food and essentials to those that need it most, our teams have been doing everything they can to scale up online and home deliveries to the elderly, people with disabilities or those in mandatory self-isolation," she said.
"Following an extraordinary level of demand for groceries in recent weeks, reducing trading hours in some of our stores to turn them into 'Priority Delivery Hubs' will help us assist more people who can't access a store to get products they need."
